Studio Brief 1: Holy Models - Swimming EP design

I love the straightforward style of this design. The ripples through the stripes are very clever and simple, because of how it seems like the surfboard is interfering with the finished design. Using only black, white and a bright yellowy-green, I think its a lot more effective than if it was a colourful design.
However, I feel as if the name of the album contradicts the design as it is called 'Swimming' yet the person on the album cover is surfing... Would it not make sense to use a swimming person creating ripples?
